Our Programs at a Glance
The Centre for U offers three types of training programs. It is important to understand the difference, because it determines the certification you receive.
1. Nationally Recognised Training (Accredited)
- Delivered by The Centre for U under our RTO Registration – RTO ID 22719. Successful students receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for nationally recognised units of competency.
2. Industry and Professional Development Courses (Non-Accredited)
- Including our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program for licensed electricians under Energy Safe Victoria (ESV) requirements. These courses do not lead to a nationally recognised qualification or statement of attainment; a certificate of completion may be issued.
3. Accredited Training Arranged Through Referral to Other RTOs
- For some courses, we will refer you to another RTO to deliver nationally recognised training programs. Your enrolment is with the external RTO and your certification is issued under their RTO registration. This is a referral service only.
1. Nationally Recognised Training
Delivered by The Centre for U (RTO 22719)
The Centre for U is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) regulated by the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) allowing us to issue nationally recognised units of competency for some of our programs. In order to maintain our status as an RTO, The Centre for U is required to maintain a high quality standard of training, assessment, support, reporting systems and processes in order to maintain and uphold the quality of the Australian Vocational Education and Training (VET) system.
About Vocational Education and Training (VET)
Australia’s VET system is based on nationally recognised training packages that identify the specific skills and knowledge required in industry. To be awarded a qualification or statement of attainment, students must be assessed as ‘Competent’ in the relevant units of competency. Only Registered Training Organisations can issue nationally recognised qualifications and statements of attainment.
The following courses are delivered through our RTO and students who complete these programs will receive nationally recognised statements of attainment for the listed units of competency.
