Course Description

Workplaces are beginning to acknowledge that psychological and emotional safety are equally as important and impactful on organisational outcomes as physical health and safety. A core determinant of psychological and emotional safety is the culture of an organisation.

Respectful workplaces is a half day, facilitated workshop focussed on providing participants with the opportunity to understand, define, and practice more respectful relationships within the context of the workplace. This will be achieved through a mix of theory, activities, reflection and co-creation exercises.

Participants will:

  • Create a shared understanding of the meaning of respect.
  • Create a shared framework of expected respectful behaviours.
  • Recognised and understand how power is related to violence.
  • Recognise and Respond to unsafe workplace behaviours.
