Suicide Prevention and Awareness
In this training, you will learn the application of a suicide intervention model, the red flags to look out for when someone may be at risk, how to increase their immediate safety and link them with further help.
For immediate support with suicide or related issues contact our counselling hotline on 1300 725 881
or Lifeline on 13 11 14.
Drug and Alcohol Awareness
Our course is delivered by trainers with lived experience of addiction, and is about raising awareness and shifting attitudes about these substances. The training will equip you with the tools to address drug and alcohol issues and includes strategies to help friends, family members and colleagues who may be experiencing addiction or dependence.
Guest Speaker Nathan Hulls
Guest speaker Nathan Hulls will talk about some of the challenges young tradies face with their mental health and resilience, and will discuss his own experience dealing with mental health challenges and the suicide of a close friend.
“Nathan was natural, and was able to connect well with all. I was impressed to find a normal (not famous) person with such an inspiring and interesting story.”
“Definitely the best motivational speaker I’ve ever heard”
